ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COURSES IN KENYA REQUIREMENTS

- Certificate Course, you will need the following requirements; You will need a minimum of KCSE D plain result; you should know that studying for a certificate course for electrical engineering is on duration of two (2) years.
- For a diploma course, you will need the following requirements; A minimum of KCSE result C + (plus) will be needed from you and this course will be on duration of three (3) years. In the MKU, the requirements are KCSE C (plain) with a C – (minus) in mathematics, physics, or English or a KCSE C – (minus) with a certificate in a relevant field that lasts for 3 years. In MMUST you will need a mean grade of C + (plus) in mathematics, physics or physical sciences and the course takes up to five (5) years.
- To pursue a degree program you will need the following requirements; you should know that the degree program is broken down into three different requirements and you can easily see the one that fits your description. Once you are enrolled for a degree program for engineering you will need a total of six years to complete it.
- Mathematics B + (plus), chemistry B (plain), English (B) minus, and physics (B) + plus
- Mathematics B + (plus), English B – (minus) and Physical sciences (B) + plus
- You can also apply if you have a certificate in national diploma holders in engineering from any recognized polytechnics in Kenya.
