Interior Design Courses in Kenya Requirements

Interior design is not a major course in many institutions in Kenya this is why you have less schools offering this course. Many persons who study interior design do this as a skill and many do not even have a degree attached to their name, not to discourage you but you should now all of this before applying for a course.

You might feel a course like interior design does not need any requirements but it does and this is a course you learn with open-mindedness so as to achieve what you want in the process of undergoing this course. you will be needing a minimum of D + (plus) for your KCSE result and this is if you are going for a certificate course, if you are going for a degree course you will need a minimum of KCSE mean grade C + (plus) or a recognized diploma in interior design from a recognized institution, if you want to opt-in for a diploma program you will need KCSE mean grade C – (minus) or a pass in a recognized certificate course or some universities ask for a C plain.

All of the requirements mentioned there is what is needed to apply for interior design in Kenya. It takes about four years to study this course in the university while three years to study in the polytechnic or college while a year to get a certificate for it.

Studying interior design in a university or college in Kenya will cost about KSH 30,000 to 80,000 for your tuition and others which will be stated on the school platform.

It is advised you choose a school that has your course of study during the application, there are so many takes to being an interior designer and it comes with lots of creativity. Each institution you wish to attend differs with its prices as public schools are meant to be cheaper so it’s better you know about the fees and other things relating to payment before application.
