Requirements to study Geospatial Engineering in Kenya

- A minimum KCSE Mean Grade C or KCE Division III plus an ordinary/ Higher Diploma in Land Surveying / Cartography/ Photogrammetry. KACE or IGSCE/GCE – A-level or equivalent with 2 principal passes in Mathematics and Geography.
- A minimum of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) mean grade is C+, with C+ in Mathematics, Physics, Geography/Biology/Chemistry.

Roles of a Geospatial Engineer
- Communicating with clients to gather information about site conditions and design requirements.
- Creating maps, charts, and other visual representations of data for use by the public, government agencies, or other companies.
- Preparing feasibility studies to determine if a project can be successfully implemented.
- Analyzing data to identify patterns in natural resources and the environment.
- Overseeing the installation of equipment such as surveying instruments and GPS devices on vehicles or in remote locations.
